How CutList Creator Works

CutList Creator takes you through a simple step-by-step process to build a professional cutting list for your kitchen or cupboard project — no spreadsheets, no manual calculations.

1

Start Your Project

Give your project a name so you can save, find, and return to it at any time. Your project name will also appear as the title on your exported cutting list.

2

Select Your Units

Browse the catalogue and add the cabinet units you need. Set the quantity for each unit — you can adjust dimensions individually or as a group in the next step.

3

Customise Dimensions

Adjust the height, width, and depth of each unit to fit your space. If you need cover panels, specify how many full cover panels and dummy panels are required per unit.

Full cover panels are used where cupboard sides are exposed. Dummy cover panels are used where cupboard sides face a wall, or between carcasses for a finished look.

4

Choose Your Boards

All units are designed for 16mm melamine boards. Select the board type and colour for your carcass boards and finish boards separately. Use the Whole Project toggle if all units share the same boards, or switch to Per Unit to assign different boards to individual units.

5

Grain and Edging

Indicate whether your selected board has a wood grain. Then set the edging thickness for your carcass and finish boards — this ensures all cut sizes and the orientation of each piece are calculated correctly.

6

Cutting Sizes

Choose whether you want the export to show finished sizes only, or to include cut sizes alongside them. Cut sizes reflect the edging thickness subtracted from each part's dimensions — this is what your panel saw operator cuts the board to.

7

Export Your Files

Download your cutting list as an Excel file ready for your board supplier, or as a PDF for your records. A separate build sketch PDF is also available for each unit.
